The first track Electrik Heat (seekwill) sounds like a throwback to an 80’s hip-hop emcee. Beautiful. The Rain sounds like a Sam Cooke or Dusty Springfield R&B track. Some other standouts: Sunday Morning (Every day is Saturday night, but I can’t wait for Sunday morning), CatDiesel (a turn it up kind of song), Highway 7 and The Ballad of Noah (great lyrics).

He actually gives Canada props, which says he better be really good or a joke. You best respect Canada/In this musical famine/so here's some manna you can't examine.

K-OS has some skills, and while not a true MC, does a credible job on the hip-hop flow tracks. He has a Seventh Day Adventist background, and there are a lot of spiritual themes throughout his music, without being preachy.

Highly recommend this album.
