This is as close to a perfect album I have heard since the first time I heard Led Zeppelin or the Doors. The album opens with ‘Godspeed’, a typical Anberlin track where Christian’s vocals truly seem like an instrument in its own right.
Dismantle Repair is as close to a modern rock ballad as you can get without growing long hair and playing power chords while wearing your favorite Poison concert T-shirt. The lyrics are poetry rather than necessary vocals riding on top of the music.
