That said, Transformers covers the gamut from Creation (a world initially good and harmonious, twisted due to selfishness and evil desire for power — Gen 1-3), deceit/rebellion (Megatron leading the Decepticons into evil and turning against what is good — Ezekiel 28:12-19, spoken of Lucifer), Sacrifice (Optimus Prime is historically a Christ-type figure with his sacrifice securing freedom for the rest of the world).

The theme of good vs. evil is inherent in a plot like this, but it is worth noting a difference in the way good and evil are portrayed in the film and in the Bible. The movie starts by describing a perfect world that existed, where all lived in harmony, and power was a tool used for good. Some came along and sought to use the power for evil, thus the Great War. This presents two equal forces at work in our world: good and evil. Biblically, Satan did not want to use power for evil, but for himself, which was evil. The opposite of good is not evil, it is selfishness. Any power that evil has, it has under God’s supervision and sovereignty. He indeed is working all things together for good.
