This is a highly enjoyable movie from start to finish. It was well made with all the appropriately mind-blowing CG action. It was also surprisingly well acted by Shia LaBeouf and actress Megan Fox in their biggest roles to date, with Julie White playing a hilarious role as Sam’s mother.

Very classy to have Peter Cullen, the original voice of Prime in the original animated series come back as Prime. (Cullen was also the voice for several Go-Bots, Voltron, and Eeyore.) There are also great cultural references (the Bee-atch air freshener, 40 Year Old Virgin, 50 Cent) that add a lot of humor to the film

Themes of Note

• I have heard it said that every major movie theme gets its power from themes that first emerged in the Bible. This is not to say that every main theme is biblical, only that the Bible accurately records themes that historically have been reflected in every culture that initially found their power as an element of the story God is telling.
