"TRANSFORMERS"

I don’t know if any movie lives up to the "Summer Blockbuster" hype, but Transformers came close.

Maybe it’s the tinglies I got when Optimus Prime is first seen, or when he says the famous line, "Autobots…..Roll Out". Maybe it was having my childhood back just by hearing the name "StarScream", or the sound made by transforming.

And, maybe, I am biased.

That could be why I found it quite easy to gloss over a surface plot about some kind of cube that did something I’m still not sure about, but know was bad. Then again, I didn’t go to see Transformers expecting Great Expectations, I came for Optimus, special effects and a tribute to my childhood.
