VINCENT DONOVAN
"CHRISTIANITY REDISCOVERED "
This is a brilliant book detailing one missionary's experience with the Masai, an African tribe living in Tanzania.
Donavan was a Spiritist priest, which is a more missions-minded offshoot of the Catholic church. His salvation theology is extremely weak and disjointed, saying towards the end of the book that salvation can be found in other religions, yet contradicting himself the next page by saying salvation cannot be had apart from the medium of the sacrificial death of Christ. So, be prepared to read with a sharp mind, as there are several statements made in the book with which I would take serious issue. |
