WICKED

Plot: Wicked is the extremely clever backstory of how ‘The Wicked Witch of the West’ from the Wizard of Oz became so misunderstood and wicked.

Theatrics: The stage design was great for the play. Nothing as elaborate as a flying chandelier or massive elephant on stage (a la Phantom), but a pretty cool dragon and a large mechanical face that the Wizard of Oz controls.

The set was beautiful (especially for the Emerald City scene) and the costumes well done. As most of the play centers on Glinda and Elphaba, they are given the most attention.
