We believe that 'the whole world is under the sway of the evil one' (1 John 5:19), and 'the thoughts and intents of man's heart without Christ are evil' (1 John 5:19). This evil can manifest itself in ways as dramatic as child sex tourism in Cambodia or genocide in Darfur, to the selfishness of my heart that causes me to use others for my own gain.

This situation cannot be remedied by more self help books, or learning 'The Secret' of positive thinking. We believe mankind needs to be reconciled with the God who created it in order to fully realize our purpose on this planet.

As a community of those who have been touched by God’s love through Jesus Christ, we desire to see all come to know God in a way that changes us for the better and imparts a passion to imitate the God of justice by seeking justice for others, regardless of status, race or religion (Psalms 72:4).

We choose not to allow our personal comfort to outweigh our personal responsibility to take part in what God is doing in our world today. We also support organizations involved in social justice at a national level and missionaries (local and foreign) who are seeking to bring love, hope and justice through the name of Jesus Christ.
