We believe the Church is not a building or a place, but rather the people in a city who identify themselves with Jesus, His teachings and lifestyle. We emphasize that life in and with Christ is best learned, lived, and enjoyed in homes and small groups (Matt. 28:19, Acts 2:46). Our large gathering is meant to establish a presence in our community, teach the Word of God, and draw others into small groups.
We are intentional about making disciples of the nations (Matt. 28:19), without adding undue extra-biblical requirements (Matt. 23:4) that are not essential for a life of godliness (Acts 15:28, 2 Pet. 1:3).
We seek to minimize the complexity of our forms (programs, building projects, etc.) in order to maximize the effectiveness of our function (discipleship and mission) (Acts 2:46). |
